“This is my third year teaching at the Academy. I am married to Kyle, and we have two little boys. Jacob is four years old, and Vincent is two. I received my Bachelors Degree at UNI; my Masters of Arts in teaching is from Coe.
“My days here are full of . . .music! Each grade level has music class. We have a praise band, jazz band, show choir and concert choir. I also teach individual music lessons. We hold two concerts each year for families. We have a new music curriculum called “Spotlight on Music,” which is fun and full of movement. The students also sing hymns and contemporary Christian songs in chapel.
“Music is another way to communicate for those who may have difficulty expressing themselves. It is a way to experience God’s creativity and love.”
