Admissions

Are you considering Isaac Newton Christian Academy for your child’s education? We have a basic guideline policy for admission that is followed when parents wish to enroll their child.

The basic requirements for admission are as follows:

  1. The child must be performing at grade level, particularly in reading and math.
  2. Parents should inform the Administrator of any special needs the child has so that the Administrator can discern whether or not these needs are best met at the Academy.
  3. The child will be administered the “Wide Range Achievement Test” (WRAT), a 20-30 minute assessment in reading, math and spelling.
  4. The Administrator will check previous current report cards from the students previous school, as well as Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) results, where applicable.
  5. With parent permission, the Administrator will talk with a school official from the student’s previous school.
