Newton’s Pies Fundraiser

The apple pie fundraiser, held in late October, is both a major funding opportunity for the school, as well as a great time of fellowship among families, staff, alumni and friends of the school.  The goal of the 2007 Newton’s Pies Fundraiser was a whopping 6,000 pies. (That’s not a typo) and we did it! We made these deep-dish homemade pies from October 24-27. The students took pie orders throughout September, and customers were also able to buy them online. (We use Paypal, a secure and reputable site for handling financial transactions.)  At $12 per pie, we hoped to raise over $40,000 after expenses, for our general operating fund. We definitely put the “fun” into fundraising with this event!  Remember us next October when you are thinking about pies to serve during the holidays, or to give as gifts.  Also, you will be encouraged to sign up for a shift during pie making time.
