Welcome back to Isaac Newton!  If you have participated in the Scrip program in the past, thank you.  If you are new to Isaac Newton Christian Academy or have never participated in the Scrip program, please consider giving it a try.  If you are not sure how the Scrip program works, don't hesitate to call Emalee or Shannon or stop by the Scrip table.  You also may have friends or family that would be able to participate in our program and contribute to your tuition account and our general fund. 

We have some new updates to the 09/10 Scrip program that we would like to share with you.

• Profit sharing now 70/30:  To encourage new families to participate in the Scrip program and to give current families an immediate boost, the Scrip percentages have changed.  There is no longer a threshold to meet to get a higher percentage.  Families will now earn 70% upon their first purchase of the fiscal year (July 1) as tuition credit.  30% of the profit will go to Isaac Newton's general fund.
• Quick Scrip hours changed:  The Quick Scrip table, which offers gift certificates that are in stock and available for immediate purchase, will now offer hours after school.  The Quick Scrip table will be open every Thursday afternoon from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. as well as Friday morning from 7:50 to 8:20 a.m.  The Quick Scrip table will no longer be open on Thursday mornings.  The Quick Scrip table is located right outside of the cafeteria.

Help wanted:  We have a number of openings in the Scrip program this year.  In each of these jobs, you may work as often as you choose (weekly, every other week, monthly).  These count toward your SALT hours!  Here are some ways you could help:

• Work at the Scrip table.  We need people to work at the table selling Quick Scrip and distributing orders on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings.
• Pick up Scrip from local vendors (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday).  You would be given three or four stops in Cedar Rapids, and it would take less than 1 hour.
• Fill orders (every other Wednesday afternoon).  Count certificates and stuff envelopes with Scrip orders.
• Contact local vendors.  We are always looking for more local Scrip vendors.  You would contact local businesses, explain the Scrip program, and ask if they would participate.  This can be done whenever it fits into your schedule.
